Huelga!

The Huelga General and its impact in Sevilla (translated from El País, a major Spanish newspaper). The translation is a little rough, so some of it might not make perfect sense, but you can get a feel for what things were like.

The department stores and small shops began to open after the massive demonstration in the capital of Andalusia, though less user presence. The minimum service city bus after leaving amid shouts and boos from the picket lines and guarded by a large police deployment, worked. On the subway were met with minimal services, but with a strengthening of surveillance. 
The bus started out at 5.30 and 6.40 and had left all that fell within the agreed minimum services, 25% of normal circulating . 
The public transport were among the services most affected by the morning. On the streets there were taxis and stalls were empty. At five in the morning, one circulating in the Andalusian capital three vehicles of the Radio Taxi union. Refuse collection was also affected and some containers were accumulated center bag of garbage. 
For access to the capital city where there were major complications, three detainees. Incidents were also recorded at the University of clashes between pickets and police.

These are two pictures from El País that were taken in Plaza del Duque. The second one shows the picket line guarded by police, while the first one shows a lady who needed to go shopping badly enough...that she decided to cross the picket (either that or she was just looking for trouble...more likely the second option).
